Hans Petter, a self-described Norwegian motorcycle addict, has put together a great set of tips for traveling in Norway without emptying your wallet. He is partial to Moto Guzzis, as I am, and his wife rides the Breva 750IE -- the same model I rode around the Adriatic Sea. It was a great sport touring bike, possibly the most comfortable mid-sized touring bike I've ever ridden. Plenty of power for the freeways, but light enough to handle dirt roads in Greece, Albania and Croatia. But enough about
Guzzis...
Whether your riding a motorcycle or simply touring Norway, Han's tips for budget travel will thrill you -- it's an expensive place. Here's one. Take a tent. Camping is free anywhere, and even if you don't take a tent, in many campgrounds there are nice little cabins for rent. Find this and more great Norway travel tips in:
Minutes of a Motorcycle Addict - Budget travel in Norway. Thanks Hans!
Oh - and he's also got a
really nice blog with nice ride reports and photos. Check out his Guzzi with sidecar!
