Joanne Donn aka GearChic is in today's spotlight in this 31 Days of Women in Motorcycling series. Joanne works part time as an MSF RiderCoach and at Scuderia West, a KTM/Aprilia/Kymco/Victory dealer in San Francisco, selling apparel.
In 2007, Joanne noticed that there were plenty of websites that will show you where to purchase gear, but that nobody had any information on what you need to protect yourself properly and how to shop for it, not to mention how much it all costs. So she started GearChic.com to provide reviews, tips and insights on all things related to what women (and men) should be wearing while riding their motorcycle or scooter. If you’re just starting out and don’t know what to wear, how it should fit or where to get it, she does her best to point you in the right direction -- kind of a virtual personal shopper, someone who has done a lot of the homework so you don’t have to.

Joanne also serves dealers who are trying to figure out what kind of gear they might carry in their shop, and is available to dealerships who have never sold women’s gear and need help selling gear to women.
